These Miito-ori fabrics are naturally dyed and woven by Miito Orimono, founded in 1874. For over 140 years, they have upheld the spirit of pure, durable cotton through history’s challenges.
This fabric, characterized by its gentle cotton texture reminiscent of antique textiles, is also tightly woven and highly durable, making it perfect for everyday use. It is versatile and can be used year-round for everything from clothing to crafting accessories like bags, pouches, handkerchief or ties.
Fraying the edges into fringes adds a charming accent to your designs and makes a great match for scarves or tablecloths.
Care Instructions:
- Please pre-wash your fabric before sewing to remove excess dye. AIR DRY AND DO NOT USE A DRYER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
- As it is dyed with natural indigo, some color transfer may occur with strong friction until the dye fully sets.
Washing Instructions:
- The fabric may slightly fade due to friction with water, so avoid washing it with other items.
- Reshape the fabric while drying to maintain its form.

FABRIC SAMPLE SHIPMENT
We ship our fabric samples via letter with a flat rate of $2 for both orders headed for the USA and Canada. Fabric samples that are ordered with fabrics will be packed with your order free of charge.
For orders only containing fabric samples, please allow up to one week for fulfillment time.
FULFILLMENT TIME
IMPORTANT: Purchases made during Black Friday are not subjec to our usual fulfillment time of 3-5 days. Please allow up to two weeks for your fabric to be shipped.
