Shetland sheep are native to the Shetland Islands, located north of Scotland. British wool, known for its elasticity and durability due to the harsh natural environment of cold winters, includes Shetland wool, which stands out for its softness and luster. These sheep are also smaller in size and produce less fleece, making their wool a rare and valuable material.
With a wide variety of colors now available, you can enjoy creating knitwear like patterned sweaters and scarves by combining different shades. This soft, skin-friendly wool is the perfect choice for your winter knitting projects.
Estimated amount of yarn required (stockinette stitch):
Scarf 3 balls, Vest 5 balls, Sweater 8 balls
*Please check the pattern for specific amount.
Note:
- Due to the manufacturing process, knots may be unavoidably included.
- Even with the same color number, slight differences in color shades may occur due to variations in dye lots. Depending on the quantity ordered, there may be slight color variations in the items you receive.
