It's been one year since Kokka Fabrics opened, and we're so grateful for the community that we have built in the past year. We're truly thankful to every one of our customers and we're proud to be part of your sewing journey.
To celebrate one year of Kokka Fabrics, we're excited to announce the first-ever Kokka Fabrics Designer's Award! Submit a piece that you have made with KOKKA fabric and get the chance to win one of our three amazing prizes!
The judge of this competition is Keiko, a senior textile designer at KOKKA's head office in Osaka.
Kokka Fabrics Award Prizes
Gold Prize: Three Yards of Fabric of Your Choice + A Set of all our digital Patterns
The Gold Prize winner, as chosen by senior KOKKA designer Keiko, will get three yards of fabric of their choice plus a set of all our digital patterns.
*Please note that due to stock levels at our warehouse, there may be some fabrics that we cannot supply as a prize. However, we will try our best to fulfill your fabric preference.
Silver Prize: $20 off your next order + A Set of all our digital Patterns
The Silver Prize winner, as chosen by senior KOKKA designer Keiko, will get an exclusive $20 coupon to go towards their next order and a set of all our digital patterns.
Bronze Prize: $15 off your next order + A Set of all our digital Patterns

Competition Details & How to Enter
Competition Overview
・Use KOKKA fabrics to create an original sewing project. It can be anything from clothing, accessories, home decor, quilts, or any other sewing endeavor.
・While entries do not have to be solely made from Kokka fabrics, please ensure that your project predominantly features our fabric.
・Submit up to five clear photos of your project alongside a brief description of your piece.
・You must be over 18 to apply.
・Unfortunately, we can only accept entries from residents of the United States of America or Canada.
How to Submit Your Entry
1. Visit our competition entry page, where you'll find the submission form or post your finished piece on Instagram with the hashtag #kfdesignersaward and tag our account @kokkafabrics.
2. Fill out the required information, including your name, email address, a title for your sewing project, and a description of your sewing project.
3. Attach up to five high-resolution photographs of your sewing project to the submission form.
4. Double-check all the information and click "Submit" to enter the competition.
Entry Deadline
August 31 11:59 pm (PDT), 2023
All entries must be sent before the deadline. We will not consider any late entries.
Winners Announcement
Winners will be announced by the end of September 2023. We will contact the winners via the email at entry. We will not contact unsuccessful applicants.

Competition Disclaimers & Terms
Eligibility:
The competition is open to all individuals aged 18 years or older located in the US or Canada who have used KOKKA fabrics to create and sew an original project.
Submission Requirements:
Participants must submit a high-quality photograph of their completed sewing project, showcasing our fabrics, along with a brief description of the project's concept and inspiration. Submissions must be sent through the designated entry form or email address provided.
Originality:
By submitting an entry, participants affirm that their sewing project is entirely their original work and does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party. Any plagiarized or copied entries will be disqualified.
You may use projects that are made with commercial or independent sewing patterns, as long as the piece does not violate any of the terms of usage for the pattern.
Fabric Usage:
To be eligible, the sewing project must predominantly feature our fabrics in its creation. Participants are encouraged to showcase their creativity and skills using our materials.
Consent for Publication:
By entering the competition, participants grant our company the non-exclusive right to publish and display their submitted photographs on our website, social media channels, and other promotional materials. Participants will be duly credited for their work.
Deadline:
All submissions must be received by the specified deadline. Late entries will not be accepted.
Judging Criteria:
The three winners will be chosen based on the creativity, craftsmanship, and overall aesthetics of their sewing projects using our fabrics. The decision of the judging panel is final and cannot be contested.
Notification of Winners:
The winners will be notified via email or other contact information provided during submission. If a selected winner fails to respond within a specified time, an alternate winner will be chosen.
Prizes:
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Taxes and Duties:
Winners are responsible for any taxes, customs duties, or other charges that may apply to the prizes based on their respective local regulations.
Indemnity:
Participants agree to indemnify and hold our company harmless against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation in the competition or the use of their submitted materials.
Amendments and Cancellation:
Our company reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or reasons beyond our control.
